Do you think he realized he wants me back?

so my ex went on a date and well my friends went and spied on it/ haha(: but they said the girl was trying to get close and stuff but he acted like he wasnt interested. do you think he could of realized what he wants is me??, because he also randomly imed me on facebook tonight.
