Was my UK visa was approved or denied?

I applied for a UK visitors visa via the consulate general of New York. I completed my biometrics, returned the form, along with my passport and other supporting documents to the consulate. Two weeks later, I got my passport, along with my supporting documents. There was no mention of approval or denial. My passport is blank, without a visa. I have emailed the office but not heard back from them, not sure what to do
