I messed up my longboard skateboard?

I wanted a drop through longboard. And my mom went and bought a cheap Krown longboard. I cut a hole to accommodate trucks for a drop through (it was a top mount) And I got wheel bite. Then like an idiot I tried to cut the board and I failed and now it looks horrible. I have enough money to buy an new deck but I need to make an excuse for getting a new one if she finds out I messed it up she will be angry. I can snap it but then she won't let me get another because she will say they are cheap.
